NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court ordered that the results of the 2017 National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) be declared by June 26. The courts also overruled a stay the Madras high court had issued on May 24 . Supreme Court directed all high courts not to entertain any petition regarding NEET 2017.
CBSE, which conducts NEET, said it will declare the NEET results by June 26. The results were originally scheduled to be released on June 8.
The CBSE, which challenged the Madras high court’s stay last Thursday, conducts the common MBBS and BDS courses’ admission test, which this year was taken by 11.38 lakh students.
The Madras HC had on May 24 stayed the declaration of results on finding that question papers of NEET examination were different for different languages.
